Get Involved

St Kilda Gatehouse loves working collaboratively with the community and individuals to address issues that limit a woman’s options. For this purpose the work of St Kilda Gatehouse is only possible because of the support and generosity of donors and volunteers. Your contribution has a direct impact on the lives of those who visit St Kilda Gatehouse daily. Support can come in different forms and there are many ways you can assist.

VOLUNTEER WITH US

Volunteers across St Kilda Gatehouse programs are highly valued for their time and skills. Without volunteers we would not be able to run our programs. Volunteering opportunities vary greatly from site to site, but always reflect our organisational values of building safe communities and providing safe spaces for those experiencing marginalisation.

Each volunteer is required to undergo:

  • a National Police Check
  • a Working With Children Check
  • attendance at a St Kilda Gatehouse information session
  • an interview with a team leader
  • and a trial period

For more information or to register interest in volunteering visit our volunteer page.

A big part of fundraising is being an advocate on behalf of women who are often voiceless. St Kilda Gatehouse needs others to help raise much needed funds to run our programs and raise awareness of the stigma that is often attributed with street based sex work or the misconceptions of sexual exploitation.

Run your own Fundraising Event

If you’re organising a social event, why not give it an extra purpose. The event could be as simple as a movie night, a clothes swap, a dinner party... We will help in anyway we can.

COMING SOON you will be able set up your own fundraising page and be sponsored or you can ask people to donate in lieu of gifts. It’s up to you. Upload your own photo and cause and away you go!
